TurmeriX Review

What is Turmeric?

Well, you may already know that Turmeric is a spice which is bright in colour. This spice is actually the reason your curry gets its strong yellow colour. It has become widely known that this spice has been used in India for cooking and for medicinal purposes too with scientists now backing this use of Turmeric for its health benefits.

Turmeric is made up of compounds called curcuminoids. One of these curcuminoids is called Curcumin and is the primary ingredient in the Turmeric spice. Curcumin is a natural anti-inflammatory while also boasting high anti-oxidant effects. If you don’t already know, a substance that is referred to as an anti-oxidant protects cells in the body free radical damage. Free radicals or unstable molecules have been associated with health problems like cancer, stroke and heart disease.

What ingredients are in TurmeriX?

TurmeriX powder includes 60% turmeric powder, stevia leaf, cinnamon, coconut powder, aniseed, fennel, liquorice amongst others. The reason for adding such a wealth of ingredients is a good one. Black pepper is one important ingredient in this TuermeriX product as it combats the poor absorption of curcumin into a person’s bloodstream. Black pepper helps to significantly enhance the absorption rate of curcumin in the body.

According to TurmeriX, the turmeric plant raw lacks bioavailability and so will pass through your body without providing many of the potential health benefits it is capable of.  This combination of ingredients increases the effectiveness of the Turmeric powder and allows the person taking it to reap all the health benefits on offer.

TurmeriX ingredients are all of food grade standard. The turmeric in this product comes from a city in Kerala, India called Alleppey. This high quality turmeric powder is guaranteed to contain a level of 5% curcumin at least. TurmeriX can also guarantee that their product is vegan, dairy-free, gluten –free and non-GMO.

How does Turmeric help your health?

Turmeric is a natural anti-inflammatory and so fights many health issues that can occur in the body. Inflammation is both beneficial and harmful to our bodies. Inflammation in the short – term is necessary for our bodies to fight bacteria and repair any damage done. However in the long – term inflammation can become chronic in some instances and start fighting our body in negative ways. That is where anti-inflammatories come into play.

Chronic inflammation can play a part in health issues as serious as cancer, Alzheimer’s disease and heart problems too that is why it is so important to tackle unhealthy inflammation in our bodies. Curcumin, the main compound in Turmeric, is a very powerful anti-inflammatory which can help us do just that. Other areas of health to benefit from turmeric as cited by the brand TurmeriX  include skincare, weight loss and digestive health.

How do I take TurmeriX?

TurmeriX comes in a powder form and so you have a few options to choose from when it comes to taking this product every day. Serving suggestions include making a turmeric latte, a turmeric smoothie and my personal favourite, a daily turmeric tonic.

Personally I have tried the smoothie and turmeric tonic when using my TurmeriX powder supplement. The smoothie tastes good but if you are very sensitive to strong tastes then best try the latte to start. The tonic for me was the best option in the end as I could make it up on Sunday and have a shot ready for each day of the week. It is quick but strong tasting.

I like how TurmeriX informed me of the benefits of drinking the turmeric powder warm as it gets to work straight away in your body. Drinking it cold means the turmeric has to wait to reach body temperature before it starts taking inside of you.

Tonic recipe – get a water bottle and mark it into 7 sections before filling with 7 teaspoons of TurmeriX. Then fill the water bottle with filtered water if possible and give it a good shake (with the lid on!). You may need to add more water after this if it has been absorbed too much by the powder. Shake again and pop in the fridge for the week. It is important before you take your tonic each day to mix it into some warm water from the kettle as this helps the product to work straight away when you drink it.


What I think?

I would highly recommend taking TurmeriX as a daily dietary supplement. The content of this turmeric powder boasts a combination of ingredients to target inflammation and to allow fast absorption into the bloodstream. I started taking TurmeriX to boost my immune system which had been at a low point.

After researching this product and using it for some time I can also confidently say I believe the benefits of turmeric to be very true. Targeting inflammation in the body and working as an anti-oxidant there is every reason to add a natural product like this to your daily life.
