Is CBD Oil for Dogs different than for Humans?

Are there any Side Effects for Dogs?
Generally I have not seen any side effects when administering CBD oil to my own dogs but there was one exception. I have an older dog with an itchy skin condition his whole life due to an unknown allergy.
I used CBD oil on two separate occasions to help his skin however he developed diarrhoea each time so I did not administer it any more. This dog has always had a very sensitive bowel since he was a puppy so the CBD oil did not agree with his digestive system.
Since then I have used Hemp oil topically to treat the area and this has helped. So, be mindful that CBD oil will not suit all dogs just as it may not suit all people. Fatigue, nausea, diarrhoea are other side effects noted by researchers online but as always side effects do not occur in every case.

How Much Should I Give to My Pet With Anxiety?
As with humans, anxiety in dogs does not require high strength CBD oil or in other words a high concentration of CBD. Thankfully relatively low strength CBD oil is sufficient to relieve a pet’s anxiousness. In my own experience a 2% – 5% CBD oil concentrate is enough to treat anxiety in a dog, or cat!
Of course there are other factors to consider like the severity of the anxiety and the size of the animal. The amount of CBD oil you use should always start at a low point and slowly increase if you feel necessary, regardless of the severity and size of the animal.
All dogs and cats should be given the chance to adjust to the new supplement in their diet and build CBD oil up in their system over a period of time. That is why consistency with CBD oil is key!
